Since the release of my first single ‘Heart’, I was lucky enough to perform around Australia to spread the word!
Supporting Michael Paynter on his ‘Weary Stars’ album launch, I packed all my CD’s, posters and performance gear, and off we went. Since Thursday 12th of February, I have played at The Black Bear Lodge (Brisbane), The Toff (Melbourne), The Basement (Sydney), Brass Monkey (Cronulla, Sydney), Lizotte’s Restaurant (Dee Why, Sydney), Lizotte’s Restaurant (Kincumber, Sydney), and Lizotte’s Restaurant (Newcastle). So many new venues and places!
Port Fairy Folk Festival was amazing as well! My favourite by far! I performed four times over the long weekend, at stages such as The Lighthouse Stage (my favourite), The Surfclub and Saint Pat’s Hall. This weekend was so eye opening and inspiring for me as an up and coming artist. The audiences loved my music, and it LOVED playing with the band (Scott – double bass, Brad – drums). Together we played a mix of my original music, and some of my favourite Celtic songs as well. It can only be described as EPIC!!
The experience of being ‘on the road’, was one I will have to get use to; living out of a suitcase and being 100% ready to perform on stage every night. But it is also very exciting for me!
Next stop is The Jive Bar in Adelaide (Thursday 27th March), then finally my Geelong HOME show on Thursday 3rd of April 7:30pm. Now this I can’t wait for! I will be playing again with my band (also an amazing guitarist!) at City Quarter. I have been working really hard at rehearse and meetings to make this finally event as perfect and as amazing as it can be….see you there!! XX
